Influence is the ability to shape the hearts, minds, and lives of those around us through our words, actions, attitudes, and the way we choose to live.
As followers of Jesus, influence is not about gaining attention, seeking recognition, or controlling others; it is about reflecting Christ so faithfully that people can see His character through us. Every interaction is an opportunity to demonstrate His love, extend grace, speak truth, and encourage others to draw closer to Him.
We may never fully realize the impact our lives have on those around us, but when we surrender our influence to Jesus, even the smallest acts of obedience can leave a lasting mark.
Our calling is not simply to be noticed by the world, but to live in such a way that the world sees Him through us. As Jesus reminds us in Matthew 5:16 (NKJV), “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.”
